TONY SERINO
COACH
In high school Tony was a standout player who played four seasons at Malden Catholic under Coach Steve Freker … Helped the Lancers reach the Division I State finals during his senior season .. Team won a Catholic Conference title his junior season and a North Section championship his senior season … He won the league batting title in 2007 and was a conference all-star … He set the Malden Catholic record for career runs scored (107) and stolen bases (74) … Hit .422 with 30 stolen bases and 45 runs scored during his senior campaign, holding a .500 on-base percentage … Also played hockey and earned all-conference honors in 2009.
He went on to play Division 1 baseball for UMass Amherst, where although his athletic ability was off the charts, his baseball IQ and knowledge of the game set him apart. Tony has coached at the High School level for Saugus High and is now on board with Vikings Baseball. His knowledge of the game, experience coaching and ability to manage players emotions allow him to get the most out of his teams! Tony is a huge addition to our staff and looks forward to developing and coaching our players!
