Michael Gallo grew up in Peabody Mass. He helps bolster our very impressive Vikings pitching program and is hands on from winter workout practices to outdoor games with our pitching staff! Gallo was a three year starter and GBL champion (2003,2004,2005) at Peabody Veterans Memorial High School. Mike went on to play college baseball at Franklin Pierce University in 2006-2007. Then to Lake City CC (Florida) from 2007-2008 in which he was the ace of the pitching staff that was a Regional Qualifier, he was 10th in the nation in strikeouts, 8th in the nation in innings pitched. From there he went on to Milligan College from 2008-2010 where he holds the record for consecutive shutout innings by reliever (24 innings) and was one of 4 players to sign a professional contract in the last 15 years. Mike played for the North Shore Navigators of the NECBL in which he was selected to NECBL All-Star team (starter). He holds the franchise record for strikeouts in a game, 15k’s vs Manchester Silkworms. Coach Gallo went on to play professionally. He signed a contract with Washington Nationals June 17, 2010. Played for the Gulf Coast League Nationals in 2010. Mike was released 2011 spring training from single A Hagerstown Suns.
